It ‘s always a pleasure introduce the Italian wines to traders, as well as specialized as those of Tokyo. The knowledge about Italian wines is very deep among the many Japanese specialists (just think that one of the associations of sommeliers – the J.S.A. – has over 30,000 members).
The organization by the British company World’s Leading Wines was excellent. The gala dinner, at the end of the day, has allowed manufacturers and importers still to spend some time together. The only thing; during dessert … a slight earthquake! But we felt it only because we were on the 39th floor of the Park Hyatt!
It was the first time in Japan for the Grignolino of ALEMAT, for the CANTINA VALTIDONE wines (coming from the Piacenza hills), for Botticino Doc made by Claudio Franzoni and also for the Passito di Pantelleria Doc produced by VINISOLA winery.
