New Year’s Eve is now a distant memory and the agendas of wine lovers are already crowded with new commitments. LEGAMI team could not forget NEBBIOLO PRIMA, the international preview reserved to taster journalists and, just after, GRANDI LANGHE. This one is hold for economic operators and also for the press.

We met Giancarlo Montaldo, expert and wine consultant, who expressed his approval to this kind of events, able to bring interesting developments for the growth of the identity and value of the wines of Langa and Roero. Moreover, he considers Nebbiolo Prima and Grandi Langhe “an opportunity to discuss the themes that characterize the dialectic within the sector, thanks to the presence of producers, market interlocutors and journalists”. The in-depth seminars were very crowded, confirming that the demand for knowledge is always higher.

As far as the tasting, the wines we tried, Barbaresco 2016 e Barolo 2015, are strongly charaterized by different styles. As Giancarlo confirms, “Barbaresco 2016 is rich, full bodied and sapid; on the other hand Barolo 2015, reminds us the features uncovered in the same vintage of Barbararesco: rather fullness and breadth of smell, but also a certain sharpness on the palate, due to the presence of a still aggressive tannin, but that with time will leave room for harmony”.
